Just 23 years old, Lami began building Lubbuu not in a fancy office, but during late nights, early mornings, and lunch breaks while working three full-time jobs and going to school full-time to study marketing. For two relentless years, Lami poured everything into this vision with no investors, no handouts, and no sleep. Just passion, purpose, and a belief that dating could actually be fun again.
After studying every major dating app on the market, Lami saw the problem clearly: They were all the same—endless meaningless swiping, overpriced subscriptions, boring bios, and a complete lack of real personality.
So Lami flipped the script.
Lubbuu was created to be intentional, affordable, and fun—the first dating app to integrate Reels, letting users showcase their hobbies, humor, talents, and authentic selves.
